The Elizabeth Patterson Thread

Recommended Posts

Brock, great thread and great theatrical archive of her work.!!!! :)

Is there a photo somewhere of Elizabeth Patterson and Marie Dressler? They had a great scene together in "Dinner At Eight" on which Marie Dressler wanted to discuss the civil war with her.

Also the film with Barbara Stanwyk and Fred MacMurray which is shown during the Christmas season. The film is "Remembered The Night" (1940).

Love, love Elizabeth Patterson in 1930s & 1940s movies, she makes even bad films worth watching.

Note the Mae West pose by Lizzie for GO WEST YOUNG MAN which starred Mae. One of her best roles as the small town blue nose who says of La West, "In my day women with hair that color didn't go out in the daylight".

That long old fashioned dress reminds me she would have been great as Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies. Geez, how old was she when she did the show? :lucyhorror:

So, we've all seen that Victorian painting that apparently proves that "Keanu Reeves is Immortal" -- but dig this photo from London, England circa 1876.

Is it just me, or has Elizabeth Patterson also conquered the time-space continuum?
