I heard Lucie make a passing reference to her still being at Desi's house when he died. I would think she moved to a facility after that with one of the kids holding power of attorney.

Caring for your dying father and your grandmother ruined by dementia... Like THAT wasn't stressful...

I heard she took Joe with her and left the other kids back home with Larry. And those kids were young too.

I'm all for children being around family in their last days, but not when mom's running around like a chicken with her head chopped off in an emotional earthquake trying to be wonder woman. Not good for either of them.

She said in the home movie that she did it because Joe was around 3-4. Old enough to have a strong attachment but not old enough to understand where she had gone. Remember she planned on being there for several months. Her oldest son was around 7-8 and would understand where she had gone and her youngest child was just a baby and wouldn't notice her absence. No good choices unfortunately but she really couldn't leave a 3-4 year old for months.

True, but someone could have brought him over and served as babysitter so Lucie wouldn't have to care for 3 people.
