You either need stronger bifocals or an upgrade from a computer screen only meant to plays pong!

Jones Beach-Wantagh-Long Island June 29, 1978 (17 days after Lucy Ricardo's 1954 allowance was used up until)   to Sept  2, 1978

Quite an impressive run for a regional theater production.

Thanks, Neil; remember this comment when you get old; I realize more now that I'M THERE!!!! :HALKING:

Loving you, JK :fabrary:

I'm already there.  I realize more now too except 1) I don't always remember what I realize and 2) no one wants to hear my tales of the old days. ....like

-we only had FOUR channels on our TV "dial".

-to reach someone on the telephone, they had to be home and within earshot of the ring because it was permanently connected to the wall with a cord. (AND they couldn't be talking on their phone:  BUSY SIGNAL..)   Our version of texting was to send a Western Union telegram.

and this concept these young whipper-snappers can't really grasp.

If something was on TV at 7:00, you had to be there in front of the set.   You couldn't record it and watch it later.  Most of the specials and many of the TV episodes were NEVER repeated.  Very few episodes of "The Lucy Show" were rerun in prime time before "Vacation Playhouse" came on as its "summer replacement". And who knew that we would EVER see "Lucy in London"?

Lucie appeared on Dinah! alongside her mother to promote Annie Get Your Gun. At the end of the show Dinah and guests Lucie, Lucy, Gary, Carl Reiner, and Robert Osborne sang There's No Business Like Show Business.

It was during this run in Annie Get Your Gun that Lucie auditioned for They're Playing Our Song.

Lord, what a line up! Well...except for the age-old "which one of these is not [talented] like the others" question??
