What exactly did she have done to them to give them the shape and straightness we are all use to seeing? I have come across several articles where caps are mentioned and they play into the Kate Hepburn coffee incident. But did she wear these the rest of her life in front of the camera? I'm seeing caps referenced into the late 40s. The picture I put together below is from her wedding day 1940, the Life article 1943 and a portrait mid 60s.
