  2. I want to add my great sorrow at Frank's passing; RIP, friend;  remember, well, arrdubya asking me what I remembered most about my nearly 5-year, nearly full-time daily, volunteering for the Lucy-Desi Museum et al, and of course, it was:

                                                                            "Chauffeuring the chauffeur!!!!"

(can't remember the year; but think 2004 or 2005; he came back once after that; thanked me again;  he rode with me, the designated luggage person back to Buffalo Airport and their flight home.

Luggage loaded; me at the wheel; knock on passenger door; it was Frank;  'can I ride with you?'  He was particularly interested in the wild plants growing in the swamp along Jones/Gifford, Celoron; what we called the 'lower road;' on the way to the thruway; I had no idea; so researched and got the message to him in CA......  lovely man!

The book is absolutely amazing and one of my, if not THE, favorite ever done. If any fan has been to Jamestown it certainly makes an extra special connection.

I highly recommend everyone get a copy, you won't regret it!

GOT mine!  (See Premiere this Lounge) posted over there; several photos meaningful to me:  my Dad; my nephew; a former classmate brother; and ALL THE OTHERS.  There's one in there confuses me; have never read that Desi mom went with them.  See page 163; looks like her on the bed....  My dad:  page 106; w/his best friend; page 108;   PP 90, 91 (Dawson) (DeMarco) each an interview w/Lucy.  Thanks for the heads up regarding book signing in August.

  4. Just received from Amazon, Christopher T. Olsen, Lucy Comes Home, A Photographic Journey; it's lovely.

Rumor has it, the Restaurant he and his former classmate have not progressed in the repair of the burned-out famous eating place, Bemus Point (on the other side of the Lake); [questionable assumption if they are still buying it] can't remember who told me; but, if I hear anything further, will pass the word along.  Just as a reminder, Chris is son to the Forever Darling Prremiere Queen, Janice Swanson (at the time) during Arnazes visit here in '56.

The Post-Journal, Jamestown, NY, Patience Pays Off For New Owner of Sheldon House, by Dennis Phillips, "November 2015, JCC 1st put house on market, Edward Signorile, NYC native and businessman,  saw listing online; but, before he could show interest, it was taken off market.  January, 2016, JCC began process of accepting $240,000 offer from Lynn Development for its corporate offices [ultimately, Zoning and Court efforts prevented such sale: June 2017] During court process, Signorile couldn't stop thinking about purchase of Sheldon House; spending year and a half and speaking with realtors and in meantime, bought a Church in Salamanca, NY (30 miles Jamestown east), which is now for sale with this purchase.Three weeks ago he learned much about the SH.  Quality repairs had been made by JCC; but, maintenance during past 2 years had gone wanting.  SH had been heated during legal battle. Plumbers, roofers, electricians have already begun work. He purchased SH with furnishings; and has discovered 'little treasures' within.  JCC also gave him history of house and past renovations information was available; since he would like to keep the facility as authentic as he can. He estimates about a year for renovations of 5400 sq. ft. main house.  Included are exterior buildings, which expand the property to about 9400 sq. ft.  The price of $240,000 is what he paid.  He plans to spend warmer months here in Jamestown.  His business partner is from the Steamburg area [off I-86, near Salamanca] and his mother lives in Sinclairville (Chau. Co.) [article shortened; complete article at www.post-journal.com]; published, 2017.
