What's with the hair? lol

Yeah, Such an incredible likeness of Betty, and yet they can't do anything with her hair? They should take the figure to Elka's hair dresser, Regis Philpin, or The Golden Girls hairdresser, Eduardo!

Here's a great new interview with Betty re: The Lorax and the upcoming season of Hot In Cleveland:

(Although, I think Ernie Borgnine still holds the record of oldest Emmy nominee. He was 93 when nominated for his appearance on ER)

La White is the new spokeswoman for Tide Vivid White. It seems only natural. :lucythrill:

I just saw the first one. Our "Energizer bunny Betty's" done it again, best part is the end when she looks directly in the camera and gives what for (sorry, I don't remember the exact line, something in the vein of "because I said so!") lucysmirk.JPG

NBC will host a "Second Annual 90th Birthday Party" for Bets in January:

NBC had such a hit with last year's 90th birthday special honoring Betty White that execs are making it an annual event.

In January, the network will air The 2nd Annual Betty White 90th Birthday Special. Expect appearances from celebrities who couldn't attend last year's party, plus a more tongue-in-cheek approach.

But will this truly become a yearly occurrence? According to returning exec producers Brad Lachman, Jon Macks and Steve Ridgeway, White's game for 20 more years. That's a lot of candles!

:HALKING: :HALKING: :HALKING:

She's the new Bob Hope! lol Hopefully if they're focusing on friends that couldn't make it, Cloris better make damn sure her schedule is clear. ;) Actually, I would settle for a 90 minute roast featuring solely Sue Ann and Phyllis.

Bets has been sidelined with the flu and had to pull out of presenting Carol Burnett with a special award from Hollywood High School last night. :(

From People:

Get-well wishes are due everybody's favorite TV star Betty White.

"Betty has the flu and is on the mend," her rep tells PEOPLE, though no further details are available.

The news of White's health comes three days after the debut of the second season of her NBC comedy reality series Betty White's Off Their Rockers and less than a week before her 91st birthday next Thursday.

A birthday special has been taped by NBC, but so far no air date has been announced.

The star of such sitcoms as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland told PEOPLE last August that the key to her longevity is her diet: "Hot dogs and Red Vines and potato chips and French fries are my favorite foods."

But she also exercises. "I have a two-story house and a very bad memory," she said. "I'm up and down those stairs all the time."

Still, the flu is no joke.

Currently, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, tells CNN, "We are into what would classically be described as a flu epidemic." Twenty-four states and New York City were reporting high levels of flu activity, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Also according to CNN, "There have been 20 deaths of people under the age of 18 since the flu outbreak began. While the CDC does not count the number of adult deaths related to the flu, some states do, and that data suggests dozens have died."

Anyone else absolutely loving the reunion of Betty White and Georgia Engel on HOT IN CLEVELAND? They are FABULOUS together and no it's not just nostalgia, it's really raising the bar on this little sitcom, Georgia is still playing her wide-eyed innocent even as a (youngish) senior citizen and it's just as funny as ever, particularly with Betty being her more "experienced" pal. Wasn't a much of a fan of this show at first but wow, Betty and Georgia, how could you NOT watch this show now!

They should add her as a regular which looks like they already have done. It looks like another great episode this coming Wednesday with a living room of guests including Cameron Mathison from "All My Children". Every so often TVLand has a marathon of "Hot In Cleveland" on Sunday afternoons so I can catch up with the ones that I have missed.
