C L A U D E
Bought that Lucy show dvd set called Best of The Lucy Show for only 9.99. Public domain ones of course, twenty of them. Nice metal box, great presentation, terrific price, BUT, the two dvds were just sitting there all LOOSE in the metal box, can you imagine, hitting each other, portentially damaging themselves. Brock
There is a photo in this month's Vanity Fair (dated January 2013) of Lucy. It's their special comedy issue (three different covers featuring various comedians) and Lucy is featured in an article on American vs. British comedy. HarryCarter
I saw a terrific play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, starring David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver, tonight. David Hyde Pierce had a fantastic monologue about how good the 1950s were and mentioned how great it was that everyone would come together to watch I Love Lucy. C L A U D E
They reran the show where Tracy Morgan mentionned Lucy as one of the all time greats on that painting in his house made up like the Last Supper but with the greatest comedians on Jimmy Fallon. C L A U D E
Lucy was mentionned by David Letetrman last night. He's talking about the NEW YEAR's celebration in Times Square. He hates the fact that it's only this flashy lighted ball that comes down in ten seconds. He says that it was different in the old days, at one time Lucille Ball used to be the BALL that dropped at Midnight.
