Freddie2
Funny, since she dubbed the voice for that film's main character, LOL! OMG I had the exact same thought watching the movie! I thought about posting it on here but wasn't sure how it would go over, with the Morgan Freeman comparison and all.

Lucy was also considered for the voice of Darth Vader but didn't know if she could raise her voice that high.

C L A U D E
Really?? The woman had a very deep voice later in life. I've told this story many times but when i listened to Lily Tomlin's album when i was younger, i heard a clip from I Love Lucy and didn't even recognize Lucy's high pitched voice she had on the show as i was listening to her on talk shows sound more like ernest borgnine than Lucille Ball. And back then, unless you lived in New York or Los Angeles, you never saw the series on regular tv.
MONALISAISMONALUCY
I stumbled onto Huell Howser in Palm Springs: "The Thunderbird Country Club (2010)" on either PBS or KCET.. They showed photos of the Arnaz family when they were living there in the 1950's and they showed us"The Lucy Bridge".which was built to walk on, when there were huge floods caused by rain.
Freddie2
On Maude: Everyone is hiding down stairs to surprise Maude for her birthday. Arthur tells Walter to yell Vaya Con Dios as a signal for when they're about to walk downstairs. Walter shouts the signal and Maude says "Why are you acting like Desi Arnaz getting a tooth pulled?"

C L A U D E
Lucy on Celebrity Name Game yet again. She starred on i Love . . . .Lucy? Yeah but the name of the actress who played her, oh, huh, Lucille Ball? Young people, sheesh!
Freddie2
I remember that line from the book. Did it make it into the movie? I don't remember it. Yep. I was surprised too, as it's one of the very last lines of the movie, and I definitely wasn't expecting her name to pop up in something like that. Still, I'd watch Wuthering Heights with that casting. It'd definitely be better than the crappy book.

Freddie2
LOVE Candice! Wish they'd run Murphy Brown again, haven't seen those in AGES! Come to think of it, I've never seen a full episode of Murphy Brown. I'm pretty sure it ran 10+ years, so it's odd that I've never seen it in syndication.
