"I DO!" :lucythrill:

WUNERFUL! I tell my friends at home, here, who DO NOT, though they are 'few'; that when they get up in the morning, that's the BEST THEY'RE GONNA FEEL ALL DAY.... always gets a chuckle.... We'll have to 'tip' a couple of those margaritas this year.... If you are aware of anything further west on 394, Alfie's makes a wonderful margarita, as well! And, they have daily specials on the frozen ones...YUM! It's also a great place to 'chow down'....

Most things in our area are within 3 miles of Jamestown, in any direction, unless you want a Casino for the over-night hours, when there's nothing Lucy going on; that's only 29 miles east of Jamestown out I-86....

Can't BELIEVE you don't know: '....roughly, it's across from McD's and Rite Aid, on 394; same side as Johnny's Lunch, cuppla 'stalls' west....'

Hmmm, never been there, so I will have to hit it up on my next visit. Didn't even know it was there. But boy can I do damage at Johnny's. Three with the works, fries and a diet:)

One of our 'retired' English teachers now has a column in The Post-Journal (Jamestown NY) - this morning's issue featuring Journey Gunderson, E-D, Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center:

Gunderson Provides Vision for Lucy-Desi Center - nothing 'new'; just the basics about Journey and her 'vision' in four Pillars, for the Center/Museum complex.

Ms. Stauffer, article 'reporter/author', is a 'fan' of arrdubya and company; called me several years ago, thinking to properly chastise me for my 'role' in the removal of same (which, by the way, I had NOTHING to do with, except to tell the truth on the website set up for same); and who 'backed down' when I told her she and I had met many years ago.... that's a story for another day; but, in a nutshell, she was 'dating' a man I worked for ... married, by the way.... She hasn't called since....

No offense, but Jamestown sounds full of some crazy people... :lucydisgust:

59 Lucy Lane is where the fun is. Make a date with me. I will show you the house and we will talk Lucy:)

This Journey bashing is getting way over-the-top. If one doesn't agree with her vision for the Centre, fine, but there is no need here for questioning of her credentials or how she got the job. The "most important job in Jamestown"? Come on. I don't want to be harsh, but it is getting a bit much.

Let's keep the discussion to the future of the Centre and Journey's vision for it, which she has made crystal clear. For better or worse.

Seconded; guess I started that whole 'thin; but, didn't realize it was a controversial subject. I apologize sincerely for encouraging anything that might be 'bashing'... JK

No further than ANY SMALL TOWN AMERICA would be; we, from Celoron, also foster neighborhood gossips that just LOVE to keep it going; Celoron is still telling Lucille Ball childhood/teenage 'tales'** from nearly 90 years ago now; THAT person is way up in her 80's; so, maybe it will die out when she 'leaves earth'. The 'rest' of her group are already in spirit.

**I should add here, this woman is democratic in her approach; she talks about EVERYONE. Her 'rep', of course, is hardly spotless; but, guess she ignores THAT....

Celoron is a small spot on the map; not nearly the mecca of excitement it was turn of the next-LAST CENTURY!!!!

It's still my home town; I have fond memories of life wwwwwaaaayyyy back in the 50's.

:)

Guess we're gonna have Claude's comments for a few more - here's one about 'her' dating;

. . . . . when you date, you must let the other person speak occasionally; that doesn't happen in her world!

You may get the idea I have disliked this woman since I was a VERY YOUNG child; she didn't live far from me....and you'd be correct in that assumption.... can we let it die now????
