JoeySanJoaquin
Marshall, Garry; brother of Penny and Ronnie. Stellar television career, peaking in early/mid-70s with string of hits primarily aired by ABC and produced at Paramount Studios (ring a bell??), including: Odd Couple, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Joanie Loves Chachi, Angie, Mork & Mindy, Blansky's Beauties, etc. etc. Earned sitcom cred writing for popular shows/stars of the day with partner Jerry Belson (That Girl, Bewitched), contributing scripts to The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Lucy Show and Joey Bishop, among many others. Later success came on the big screen as director and/or producer of such hit films as Pretty Woman, Beaches, Princess Bride, Runaway Bride and Nothing in Common among many others. Also in demand as a wonderful character actor, usually playing a cantankerous version of his own persona, to great comedic effect with classic appearances in such hits as Murphy Brown, The Simpsons and Brothers & Sisters. Finally, as host and moderator as witnessed earlier this week at Santa Monica's Aero Theatre, he is hilarious and on his toes as he appeared with sister Penny in promoting her newly-released autobiography, "My Mother Was Nuts!" Both in fine form, he held the sold-out house in the palm of his hand and had us in stitches with his stories, jokes and recollections as he guided the evening to gently prod Penny to recount her life and career. What an evening!

leenorman
A Museum piece from chronology's 2007 entry: Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Museum Website - Jamestown, NY “Carol Burnett awoke on her 56th birthday in 1989, and learned that Lucille Ball had died. Later that afternoon, the flowers she received every year arrived at her home with the note: 'Happy Birthday, Kid: Love, Lucy'. Recently, Carol Burnett called the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Ball's hometown to ask, 'How can I help?' Ms. Burnett agreed to provide the Center with something it's wanted for a long time. As a result, the Museum now holds in its archives a copy of every installment of The Carol Burnett Show in which Lucille Ball appeared, to be incorporated into future exhibits at the Lucy-Desi Museum. These programs helped document several costumes the Museum has in Archives, posted this date in 2007.
