C L A U D E
The ones i'm seeing right now, Ricky Sells the Car and the Great Train Robbery, the show is running like a finely tuned machine, they are such pros and have defined their characters for us so well that it's just magic. C L A U D E
That's what makes it funny. I agree, her nonchalantly staing it that way, like who the hell would be doing anything with Frederic, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WHAT ARE YOU DOING and finally, screaming, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU WERE DOING WITH YOUR ARMS AROUND FRED! C L A U D E
Today, one of the funniest scenes she ever did. In Homecoming, everybody is treating new movie star Ricky like he's made of chocolate or something . . . doing everything for him. The Fan Magazine woman tells Lucy millions of women would kill to be in her place so Lucy starts doing it too. So, when Ricky's had enough of the Royal treatment, he gives it to Lucy good . . . she has to retype his lyrics, WHILE shining his shoes, and then she does that thing when the phone rings, like pick up the phone honey, i'm busy here, signaling with her head, but he asks her to flick the ashes off hiis cigarette and she slowly boils to the point of reading him the riot act. I love this scene so much that i usually end up playing it on a loop.

I love the way her voice becomes staccatoed whilst she is typing and speaking at the same time LOL!

What makes it doubly funny is the posh outfit she's wearing, including a hat!

C L A U D E
Seeing two more i had not seen in quite a while, RODEO which was better than i remembered and then Nursary School which also was better now that i did not expect too much. Amazing how the shows are great or bad depending on one s mood and expectations and memories of it, seen decades ago and now. Can#t wait for Europe and then that beautiful country house. Brock
I watched Lucy Gets Into Politics tonight and I never before noticed the wink Lucy gives the drummer who walks into the room as she's trying to nonchalantly escort Viv out of the room with her hand over her mouth as if to say, "You see nothing. Got it?!" Such a little moment, but hilarious.

C L A U D E
I know Lucy's famous for her LUCY CRY, BUT, i always thought it was done for humor but i have to say in the Little Ricky's birthday show in Italy, i watched her crying so believably that i got misty myself, she really did this one believably. Even in the Bob Hope one a few shows later, she does it again but never as well and believably as in that little Ricky one in Italy where she was upset at missing his birthday. Luvsbway
I was watching The Black Wig last night. Ricky and Fred have this great little scene in the living room as Ricky is trying to get Fred to meet the girls at the restaurant. The ending of the scene has this great little interplay between Bill and Desi that comes across more as a “gee acting with this guy is really great
Brock
From Lucy & The Old Mansion: Â Lucy: Pull up a shade. Countess: What shade? Lucy: The shade on the window. Viv: What window? Lucy: Oh, come on Viv! The wi-- Countess: Lucy, you didn't! Viv: Yes, she did. Â It struck me today how wonderful Viv's delivery of that last line is coupled with her world-weary, yet completely nonchalant body language as if to say, "Look, Rosie, we've been through this all before -- twice! -- so you better get used to it. Brock
Lucy & The Professor -- I love the little scene at the end between Lucy and Harry when Harry is dancing with the hot blonde; from Harry's dace moves, to Lucy's reaction spotting them, the look of disgust on Lucy's face, Harry's fear, followed by Lucy's silent (to us) admonishment followed by mocking. Â So many different laughs within one little 33 second scene.
C L A U D E
I noticed how LUCY's fuming at Ricky for not remembering their anniversary on the ep Hollywood Anniversary was so real looking, must be all that rehearsing they did at home around that time.

C L A U D E
Well I like to think the last part of that episode had some realism in too. Of course, that last scene of them dancing to that great song has to be one of my all time favorite scenes of the whole series. At this point though, Lucy is more sophisticated than her former scatterbrained self.
