PuttyNose
http://www.megaloradio.com/ilovelucyradioshow.html QUOTE: Many popular television shows attempted to produce a version for radio and so did I Love Lucy! Unfortunately, the radio show never made it past the audition show which is just an adaptation of an episode of the I Love Lucy TV Show that had aired just 16 days earlier. Fortunately, that show has survived the test of time and here it is for your listening pleasure! UKlucyfan
I often thought that with all these radio shows sitting in vaults never being touched it would be really cool to design cartoon built around each one so they can air them on TV - MFH first of course! :-)
PuttyNose
"ILL" is such a visual show I can't imagine enjoying it as a radio series!
JoeySanJoaquin
"ILL" is such a visual show I can't imagine enjoying it as a radio series! Well that's kind of ironic when you think about it considering "ILL" is basically a retread/reimagining, if you will, of HER radio show, dontcha think?? HarryCarter
I think the major reason they decided not to persue the radio format was that Desi was afraid the writers would start to write less visual scripts to make it easier to adapt to radio.
