Lucy's determination to quit smoking leads her to cheat her way into doing the middle commercial for Ricky's television act: extolling the virtues of electronic cigarettes, or "personal vaporizers". Unfortunately, the early prototype she is given has an incorrect mixture that happens to be laced with laughing gas, and soon she's so whacked out that everyone thinks she's pitching electronic marijuana. Sales skyrocket, and Lucy becomes the "legalize it" mascot.

Lucy thinks Ricky's decision to prepare for his role by visiting brothels is no way to do a movie, so she and Ethel go undercover as "ladies of the evening" to try and catch him in the act.

 

The Dashin' Beau:

Fred's moving to Pomona to tend orange groves has a positive influence on him, and soon Ethel's just mad about her poopsie woopsie.

After another fight with Fred and Ethel, Lucy & Ricky toilet paper their apartment and blame it on the Applebys, leading to a college-level fight of epic proportions between all three couples.

After seeing an ad in the paper for a musician needed to aid in songwriting, Lucy persuades Craig to apply for the job. He drives to Sunset Boulevard and is greeted by the woman's butler, Hives (William Lanteau). Then, "Mona Almond" introduces herself, and Craig remembers she was once a huge recording artist and that his mother has a few of her records.

 

CRAIG: "Haven't I heard you somewhere before. Aren't you Mona Almond? You used to be on record! You used to be big!"

 

MONA: "I am big...it's the phonographs that got small!"

 

Come to find out she's planning a concert tour comeback and wants Craig to help write the score, but the poor woman is completely unaware that she's been forgotten. After Craig tells Lucy, Harry and Kim about the situation, they conspire to give Mona the comeback she deserves and agree to sing backup for her, with the highlight of the evening being Mona & Lucy's joint Charlie Chaplin impressions.

Ethel ditches drippy Fred and starts going out with Sidney Poitier after seeing him on Broadway. Guess who's coming over for dinner at the Ricardo's from now on

 

Lucy is Abstinente:

Lucy gets even with Ricky for spanking her again and cuts off bedroom privileges for good. Soon Ricky is Babalonley and starts going crazy with repressed urges. Ethel is dismayed when Fred volunteers to pimp her out to Ricky, but he renegs on the deal when Ethel decides she enjoys the arrangement. Lucy eventually cools down and apologizes, but can't get her chastity belt off...where's that locksmith's phone number again?

 

Bollywood Anniversary:

Ricky has a wonderful anniversary present for Lucy: he's arranged for her to star in a movie...in Bombay.

 

Lucy Gets Druggy with the Neighbours:

New country neighbours Ralph and Betty seem like a nice couple, and Lucy is soon spending most of her time at their house...too much time. Ricky grows suspicious when Lucy starts sneaking over late at night and coming back in the wee hours of the morning, and more than once spies her and Betty down alleyways with trenchcoats and sunglasses. When he finds a stack of money in her mattress, Ricky realizes she's the Ramsey's runner, and now he wants in.

 

Visitors from Little Italy:

The Mertzes have two new tenants in their building, transplanted from Brooklyn: Sal and Sophia Petrillo. Ethel & Fred are soon spending more time with them than the Ricardo's, and a jealous Lucy befriends their daughter, Dorothy, in the hopes of uniting all the families. Dorothy tells Lucy not to worry, however...it's only a matter of time before she ships her mother down to a lovely Miami nursing home she's been reading about

 

Deserted Island:

The Ricardo's and Mertz's fishing trip turns to disaster when they get beached on a desert island out in the middle of nowhere. Things get even more crowded when some guy named Gilligan and a whole crew of passengers wash up on shore a few years later.

 

Vase to Vase:

Lucy & Ethel pick out matching vases to have their ashes put in after both die, with the hopes that they can still be coordinated in the afterlife. When Little Ricky accidentally breaks Lucy's, however, she is unable to pick out an exact replacement. Ethel is so insulted that Lucy changed hers, she buys a much more expensive one. Soon both women are smahing vases left and right until the china shop is fresh out, and both realize just how pointless this whole ordeal has been.

 

Lucy Misplaces $2,000,000,000,000:

After kleptomaniacs Lucy the Lip and Baby Face Ethel pull off a spectacular heist, they wind up losing the dough when their thousands of candy boxes get pilfered by rowdy kids. How hard could it be to find all those bills flying around a fairground?

 

The Duplicity Complex:

Ethel introduces Lucy to her friend Lillian Appleby, whom Lucy already knows as Carolyn Appleby. Seeking to figure out why Carolyn has 2 different personalities, they help guide Carolyn to a place where she can finally let Lillian go...only to regret it later as it turns out Lillian was much nicer than snippy Carolyn. Now how to get Lillian back, and convince her to return Lucy's cashmire sweater and purse?

After flight (#930) takes off, Ricky is thrilled that the scheduled movie is his "Don Juan". But when the showing is constantly interrupted by a cackling passenger in coach, he fears the worst. The movie is cut short by an unscheduled layover in Red Bluff when the same passenger spots the local amusing park's merry-go-round from the air and demands the pilot land ("all he has to do is push the steering wheel forward") because she realizes her free pass is about to expire. As Mrs. McGillicuddy de-planes through first class stifling chuckles under her breath, Ricky hides his face, but too late! Mrs. McGillicuddy spots him and stops, lets out one more maniacal laugh and continues out the door.
