I used to watch Bilko reruns in the late 70s/early 80s and was shocked with this most unexpected appearance. I hadn't seen it since, until this evening. It's been a long wait! The cameo starts at 12:28. Does anyone know the story behind this? This aired March 18, 1959. Lucy would usually make appearances to promote Desilu shows, or to swap guest appearances. But Phil Silvers never appeared on a Lucy-Desi Hour, and this definitely was not a Desilu Show. In fact, the show was filmed in New York. And she wasn't even credited.
