Would I Love Lucy work in the 21st Century?

I wonder what each show/scenario would be like if it was now. 

 

 

Lucy would probably use a dating app to fix up Miss Lewis--or send fake texts on her behalf. And Ricky wouldn't have to sit next to the phone waiting to hear from Hollywood, he could just have his cell in his pocket. Lucy would also just text Ricky when she's trapped in the freezer but theres no service. lol. 

 

Ricky would probably create a Grindr account to find all those guys to trick Lucy. haha. 

 

 

The nightclub would have stripper poles and be very naughty playing terrible music and full of druggies. 

 

 

There would be a million references to Lucy and Ricky "doing it" when Lucy finds out she's pregnant. We would probably even see them doing it. 

 

Instead of Superman appearing, we'd probably have The Flash or some Star Wars/Marvel character. 

 

All the current movie/TV stars would guest star ... Channing Tatum, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Melissa McCarthy, Tom Hanks, Taraji P. Henson, the cast of SNL, Jim Parsons, Chris Hemsworth . . . 

 

Lucy would probably try to crash the set of Saturday Night Live when Ricky gets asked to host--or try to sneak onto the set of Jimmy Fallon. Lucy basically did crash the set of Saturday Night VARIETY when Ricky hosted. lol. 

 

Lucy would do a lot of shopping on Amazon, and when Ricky finds out how much money she spends, he'd probably deactivate her account. But Lucy would probably have a better paying job than Ricky.

All clever and very possible outcomes for a modern day version! I love the thought of Lucy on Tindr looking for a man for Miss Lewis! ("Ooh, Mrs. Ricardo, swipe right on that one. He looks like the bees knees!")

 

Lucy wouldn't be able to make fun of Ricky's accent without causing internet backlash so that'd likely be eliminated. Fred making fun of Ethel's weight would have to be dialed back, too, though Ethel could make fun of Fred's weight as much as she wanted.

 

Instead of wrapping chocolates themselves, Lucy and Ethel would probably oversee the wrapping machine. Naturally they'd hit a wrong button and send everything haywire.

Plus, I imagine the characters would all say "literally" a lot.
