chedderchester
You're in for the golden years of Here's Lucy there, IMO! The restored, remastered, and pristine copies of Superwoman at least have some novelty value. With everything that much clearer, some of the stunts just look even more poorly executed... like the nozzle on the rubber orange, the lever built into the wall holding the dresser in place while Lucy "lifted" it... Oh yeah and when she drank the orange juice in 2 seconds, there was this straw on the end of the glass but she didn't use the straw. ??? That confused me. And I was looking for any tricks throughout this episode, such as when Lucy "lifted" the dresser. Yeah this episode was fairly silly especially the end when she kept "flying." Taylor
I thought it was funny you could see the wires attached to her shirt that made her fly. LOL

Arissa4ever
Did you see that CLIP of her on the net, Joan Crawford in Mommy Dearest against a repeating montage of her hitting her kid and having her famous tantrums with Mamma Mia playing in the background? It's hilarious! LOL. Nope. Tried searching on youtube was lead to some pretty dull parodies. LOL.

Arissa4ever
   Thanks for Posting. Poor Faye Dunaway. Ms. Crawford, subconsciously ruined her career. I Thought her performance was terrific. It's a shame people couldn't get past the "Campy" element of it, which was the epitome of Joan, Herself. C L A U D E
Thanks so much for posting that, if LUCY had been the director of Mommy Dearest, (just to get it back on topic) she would have said to Miss Dunaway, LESS DARLING, GIVE ME L E S S ! mark bale
You must serve popcorn in a bowl and throw it in the air when Lucy does!!! Not quite Started watching a day early. Lucy goes to Marineland - not bad at all Golden Greek - poor. though nice to see Mary Jane back in the show Music World - boring, the absence of Gale Gordon is noticeable Lucy And Joan - another Gale-less episode is saved by by the Supermarket scenes Lucy the Stuntman - noticed here that Lucy's kitchen here looks almost identical to her kitchen in Danfield. The episode itself is good fun though to be continued
mark bale
Oh, and I still can't get over the stunning picture quality. Never before has this series looked so sharp, clean and clear.

The episode itself is good fun though to be continued Glad to see another person disliked Music World. Although I have to disagree if you think it was boring because the episode was "Galeless". Personally the main thing that frustrated me this season was the fact that Gale appeared EVERYWHERE where Lucy was. It's nice to just have an episode with Lucy in it for a change. Read back 1 or 2 pages and I go more into depth about my reasons etc.
mark bale
I love Gale Gordon though, so can't get enough of him in TLS and HL. But the Music world episode was so almost laugh-less, Mel Torme was dire as in this, no personality.

Neil
(Putting my own personal love for Music World aside...) do you prefer Mel in the Main Street double feature? I never use the words "prefer" and "Mel" in the same sentence. I know he's talented because he's always telling us so, but his appeal escapes me. By the way, I talked to Bob O'Brien and he said it was he (Bob) who wrote all the lyrics. Mel wrote his "Whatever Happened to the Moon?" (and I agree with Barney Miller's assessment) Bob wrote the others, but Mel insisted on music and lyrics credits, while Bob was relegated to "additional lyrics by....". The episode itself is good fun though to be continued Horse Guest = amusing, but poor old Bill Frawley looks like he's about to keel over Lucy helps Danny Thomas - good fun, unlike many on here, I enjoyed this one Lucy helps the Countess - not too funny Lucy and Sleeping beauty - pretty awful, not very funny Undercover Agent - not bad Return of Iron Man Carmichael - good fun Lucy Saves Milton Berle - v good, Berle is great Choir Master - "cute" episode the wrapping present sequence is funny So far, s4 is for me the weakest season. Viv is sorely missed in this season. One thought, in the extras "vintage openings" why couldn't the "CBS in color" intro be added to the actual episodes to make them more complete
mark bale
Continuing my TLS s4 marathon Lucy discovers Wayne Newton - awful Rain Goddess - poor, not many laughs Art Linkletter - good. Lucy not talking is a good idea for a show, and is funny Bags a Bargain - not bad Mickey Rooney - not bad Soap Opera - unlike most people, I enjoy this episode, the Japanese gardener is hilarious Hollywood Premiere = good guest star cameos, fair episode
vivfantoo*
The bonus clip where she flys around in a butterfly costume was very cool -- even my husband was impressed ! I've read how afraid she was to be lowered on a cable for the helicoptor scene in ILL, because she had once been dropped 30+ feet years before. So how in the world did she get talked into doing all those stunts in her butterfly act?
