If anyone is interested it looks like CBS/Amazon has dropped the price a bit on the season one blu-ray. It's now $49.99....it may be a little more palatable for some people. When someone said Syndicated, they meant that it uses the heart graphics for the opening and closings...not that they are the shorter syndicated lengths of 22:30.

Yup, that calculates to 83 different episodes/versions for season 1 alone. 85 episodes, if you count the two different versions of the Pilot/"Very First Show" Special.
