  1. I've never understood why in this episode, while singing The Twelve Days of Christmas, when they get to the part about "three French hens," they sing "three red hens" instead. I've looked online at the lyrics from various sources and they all say "three French hens," not red hens. I've never heard "red" sung in place of "French" anywhere except in this episode of The Lucy Show. Does anybody know why they did that? It seems rather bizarre to me.
