Brock
Since the Lounge Archives are working at the moment, here's an import from good ole' HC: There's a statue of what appears to be a cat with a long neck that appears in several Here's Lucy episodes. The two that immediately come to mind for me are "Lucy and Flip Go Legit" (it's in Flip's office) and "The Carters Meet Frankie Avalon" (it's in Frankie's dressing room.) Tonight was was watching the movie version of Sweet Charity and saw the same cat in Charity's apartment! The movie was a Universal Picture, so I assume it was filmed at Universal Studios like Here's Lucy and it's the same exact cat. Here's the cat in both Here's Lucy and Sweet Charity:
Brock
And one from me: How about this! I just finished the second disk of The Mothers-In-Law set and I couldn't help but wondering if Lucy and Jerry used the same kangaroo costume. If you look at Jerry's legs, it's clear the costume has been significantly (and not too subtly!) let out : In related observations, did the Desilu prop department buy these hideous ceramic cat statues in BULK?! And the same bathrobe as worn by Gale in "Lucy & The Bank Scandal" and by Richard Deacon in "The Carol Channing Show": And then Joey chimed in.... Oh, let's go really nuts: Aren't those blue kitchen canisters familiar (behind Deacon, picture on the right), perhaps from Lucy Ricardo's own kitchen counter?? Just a hunch, but they sure look familiar! And then OhButYes replied... That's also Lucy's refrigerator from TLS Season 4-6 in the background... and of course in MIL the kid's garage apt has a few suspect items, like the royal blue couch, and a certain familiar looking coffee table... painted white. JoeySanJoaquin
Geez, Jerry had some "thick" legs!! So, what's wrong with a little "recycling"?? Just more proof you-know-who was ahead of her time, being "green" before it was fashionable!
Taylor
Geez, Jerry had some "thick" legs!! Is that Jerry Lewis? Matches his thick head.
Mot Morenzi
Is that Jerry Lewis? Matches his thick head. No, Jerry Fogel. He played Kaye's son on MIL. And the kangaroo costume looks heavily padded for him, as he wasn't that bulky. But it DOES look like the same costume.
C L A U D E
Is that Jerry Lewis? Matches his thick head. Bite your tongue, jerry's head was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for that costume.
JoeySanJoaquin
At the beginning of this video, you can see the Vitameatavegamin bottles making a return engagement on Our Miss Brooks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQMALF3ZQDE Wow, so Gale was "Mr. Soggy Crotch" even before TLS/HL! Poor guy!

Brock
Here is one i noticed a while back At least the bull wasn't full of Lucy this time!
vivfantoo*
The bull head! I can't believe I didn't see that when I watched that episode. It's so big it shouldn't be hard to miss . Fun sighting, Desiluforever -- you've got an eagle eye. Thanks for posting it!
vivfantoo*
I watched the Pickle episode on Here's Lucy today & I think the sport coat Gale wears may be the same one Fred Mertz wore in the Don Juan is Shelved episode of I Love Lucy. Hard to tell when one is in black & white and one is in color, but the check pattern is just as large on both.

Still the same idea all those years later, though.
vivfantoo*
Thanks for posting the pics, Rickee. Now that I see them side by side it is obviously a different pattern. Both are pretty loud, though!
Brock
They really need to bring back sport coats with an abundance of buckles.

HarryCarter
Do we have two matches here? Yep! The blue negiglee thing also appears in "Three for Two" and the jacket in "The Danny Kaye Show" where Lucy spoofs Judy Garland.
Luvsbway
Thanks for the jacket catch. Not sure if that Danny Kaye was in color, one was, my copy is BW, but that is one of my favorite variety show sketches Lucy did.
