Co-stars with Fred Astaire in one of the best classic MGM musicals of all time, "The Band Wagon." Appeared often on early television, working on now classics like Your Show of Shows, (Sid) Caesar's Hour and Texaco Star Theater. Famous for playing TV mom to some of our favorite TV ladies, including Mary Tyler Moore's mom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bonnie Franklin's on Norman Lear's long-running One Day at a Time and her own niece Shelly Fabares (The Donna Reed Show) on ABC's long-running Coach.
