leenorman Posted December 25, 2012 Report Share Posted December 25, 2012 Hope everyone's Christmas Holidays are safe, fulfilling; filled with love, family, and laughter. Went to an elderly friend of mine's (84) 'family' she is living with granddaughter now; can no longer live alone; she won't be around next year; sad; we were across-the-hall neighbors for 20 years; both our husbands passed; hers just 4 years ago; then, our apartment house roof caved in, and we've both had to move on; we were the two families on the top floor of three;) ... Christmas Party Buffet Dinner; at least 20 adults (my 4th with that family); and as many screaming, happy, loveable babies and little children; tons of food; and it was just great enjoying Christmas Eve with them all for probably the LAST TIME.... ah, life is good! Now, my phone just rang; and another elderly friend of mine (she's 91!) just called and wished me love and happiness. This is HER day with large family and screaming kids; one day this week she and I are going to the Casino (30 miles east from us) and spend the day, eating and playing; that'll be two old ladies New Years Eve. We no longer party on that date; our local Legion poops out at parties anymore. Too much drunk driving from the young folks, donchano! Well, all just wanted to touch base with my 'other, other family' ....... I've gotta get busy here; working on the chronology; which, I hope, gets to publisher this coming year..... Just read a book about Hope that claims Lucy once chided him for all the cheating he was doing on Dolores. Leave it to Lucy to have the nerve to tell him that.
