Brock
I'm confused - what's the matter with Rhoda? Cloris Leachman's Phyllis character often referred to her as "dumb, awful Rhoda" or "that dumb, awful girl."
C L A U D E
I'm confused - what's the matter with Rhoda? And she was in the chorus in Wildcat with Lucy, along with Hal Linden of Barney Miller too.

Annaleigh
It kills me that none of us can ever see any footage from Wildcat! They should've done the Lucy Goes To Broadway special. Just imagine it?

Just imagine it? Yeah, thank God for the Ed Sullivan show giving us at least the main number. I keep reading that a second number, WHAT TAKES MY FANCY with her and an older gentleman would stop the show every night. Even more energetic than the main number. Neil
Had they tailored the story to the I Love Lucy cast and transferred it to Broadway, "Wildcat" might have been about her taking her Stutz Bearcat to Cuba by ferry in the hopes of getting rich importing Cuban cigars and the first song would have been "Tobacco!" instead of "Oil!". Lucy as Wildcat of course and rounding out the rest of the cast: Janie: Janet Waldo Jose Micronite*: Desi Arnaz Hank: Bennett Green Countess: Vivian Vance Sookie: William Frawley (who ELSE!) Sheriff: Gale Gordon *this reference is for anyone old enough to remember cigarette ads on TV, Kent brand had the "micronite filter", whatever that was. Neil
I assume it was an effect they were going for, but the sets of Wildcat are very crude....not unlike the backdrop Lucy whips up and hangs on the wall of the apartment for the western sketch in "Home Movies". Miss Harper and chorus during rehearsals: Lucy and Keith out on the town:

HarryCarter
Keith Andes married assistant choreographer Sheilah Hackett during the run of Wildcat, so if he and Lucy had any type of relationship is was likely short lived. Hackett later married her boss, Michael Kidd.

C L A U D E
You could have been industrious and bluffed your way into the chorus. Funny you should mention that, that's number one on my lists of regrets. NOT taking up that Rhea Perlman imitator on her offer was number two.
