desilufan2
Desi just misspoke. It was 47 not 57. The interview you're referring to with him really heavy is his Letterman interview. Boy would I love to see that! Dave interviewing Desi!
Luvsbway
Wow never knew he was on Letterman. So that puts it somewhere from 81' on as wasn't that when he got the first late night show?. In the Home Movies there was an interview of Lucy's used that seemed to be a little on the deeper side. The one clip I remember is where she talks about the end and says, "kisses and hugs". Do you know what show this was from? I'm thinking it looked late 70's early 80s.
HarryCarter
Desi was on Letterman's show in May of 1983. He performed a very spirited version of I'll See You in C-U-B-A with Marco Rizo accompanying him on the piano. The interview with Lucy you mentioned was from a week long profile on Lucy on Good Morning America in 1982. It was an interview with Lucy interspersed with reminisces from Lucie, Cleo, Gary, Mary Jane, Carol Burnett, and Bob Hope.
Mmadluv7
I want to see that interview so badly I believe this is where she's in the beige suite with the very high hair and says "you can not have children by telephone"

Clips of it were also used in the I Love Lucy: The Very First Show special.
