LOLOL I love seeing what other people see. Art doesnt only have one perspective.

I like to stay true to the small things that make a face not only recognizable, but holds the essence of the person.

I find those small things and enhance them. In this picture it was Lucy's eyes, and the heavy make up and lashes she was sporting.

Because it's a caricature, or animation, it's never going to look exactly like her, but even in that, I like for others to see different sides of the art of Lucy, some sides are bright and cute, and some areas a little darker or revealing than others

Anyhoo, there's no denying your exquisite talent and she does look exactly like her..............................except for that weird eye thing, LOL!

I know, if i had your talent for drawing translated to writing, i'd have it made. And it was not a backhanded compliment, you have awesome talent young man and your creations are incredible, i just find that eye thing similar to the wrinkle masses you give her in older shots, they're just not necessary and she would be the first one to tell you that.

Whose to say certain things are necessary and unnecessary? It's my art LOL, I say what's necessary or not LOLOL

Art is personally expressive, Especially caricature art. It's not done with a do's and don't's list that keep all flaws ignored lolol-at least not for me- I go with what I think

is fun or interesting to create or draw of Lucy and go from there :)

I never did have that "must be glamorous Lucy or it's an ugly Lucy" view of her.

Lucy, as i've said b4; in ANY way, is beautiful to me-make up or not. Done up or not, her features did age but never went away-IMO. just uniquely preserved lol

& I like capturing that, and i think a few others find it necessary that I do that to make a good piece on her :).

By the by-what do you think of Paul Alexander's candid caricature of momma Lucy?

He started with a horrid picture of her crying very late in life, it's absolutely HORRIBLE, but i'm sure, after seeing the rest of his work that if he had chosen a better picture to work with, it would have turned out much better. :lucydisgust::lucyshock::lucydaze::lucyblah:

Hey, Lamarr, have you disabled comments on your blog? I wanted to tell you how much I liked your caricature of "tearduct" Lucy. :)

No, I want to find a new layout because that one is not allowing comments for whatever reason, you can if you reblog though-

I'll try to work on it.

I LOVE THAT TITLE :)
