MISS GRANT TAKES RICHMOND

Recommended Posts

This is on DVD??? :lucywow: :lucywow: :lucywow: Am I out of the loop? Just recently I was searching to see if this was on DVD as it's one of my favorite Lucy movies and I'm trying to transfer the VHS items in my Lucy "library" on to DVD. I couldn't find anything!

Thanks to LB's 100th birthday commemoration and/or the upcoming 60th anniversary of ILL, the opportunities to ca$h in are ripe and these are just an example, to our benefit of course, finally getting these on DVD!

Aha, thanks! :) Guess I didn't search hard enough! The others I have recorded on DVD but I will definitely be ordering Miss Grant! The Magic Carpet is an odd choice to "commemorate" Lucy. She's not even in that much of it, and as we all know, it's a bomb! The only interesting thing is the backstory as to why Lucy made it!

I agree, would never let Magic Carpet SOIL my otherwise perfect Lucy collection, LOL!

OH! So many good moments in Miss Grant Takes Richmond! The typewritter ribbon... the pencils breaking.. an that slaping of Holden and my very favorite.. the cigarette hangin off her lip!! Those moments are why I just love LUCY!

Yes, the typewriter scene, with Charles Lane no less, was our introduction to Lucy Ricardo years before we actually met her for the first time.

All of these are "custom" DVDS in the new made-to-order lines of Warner Bros. and Sony rather than titles released for sale in stores; you might find them cheaper on the Warner Archives and Sony on Demand websites and I think deepdiscount also carries them.
