mark bale
Watching this Sony/Columbia DVD now. Good fun, and Lucille is "Lucy" in all but name, and Lucy veterans Roy Roberts & Charles Lane in bit parts. Some really good visual comedy, and a lovely transfer onto DVD. Magster
This is on DVD??? :lucywow: Am I out of the loop? Just recently I was searching to see if this was on DVD as it's one of my favorite Lucy movies and I'm trying to transfer the VHS items in my Lucy "library" on to DVD. I couldn't find anything! Thanks to LB's 100th birthday commemoration and/or the upcoming 60th anniversary of ILL, the opportunities to ca$h in are ripe and these are just an example, to our benefit of course, finally getting these on DVD! http://www.amazon.com/Lucille-Ball-Comedy-Collection-Disc/dp/B005H8DHN2 http://www.amazon.com/Miss-Grant-Takes-Richmond-Lucille/dp/B00579FW3Y/ref=sr_1_9?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1316367711&sr=1-9 http://www.amazon.com/Fuller-Brush-Girl-Lucille-Ball/dp/B00579FVTY/ref=sr_1_8?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1316367805&sr=1-8 http://www.amazon.com/Her-Husbands-Affairs-Lucille-Ball/dp/B00579FVSU/ref=sr_1_17?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1316367903&sr=1-17 http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Carpet-Lucille-Ball/dp/B00579FVU8/ref=sr_1_36?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1316368001&sr=1-

Guess I didn't search hard enough! The others I have recorded on DVD but I will definitely be ordering Miss Grant! The Magic Carpet is an odd choice to "commemorate" Lucy. She's not even in that much of it, and as we all know, it's a bomb! The only interesting thing is the backstory as to why Lucy made it!

Yes, the typewriter scene, with Charles Lane no less, was our introduction to Lucy Ricardo years before we actually met her for the first time.
