The 28th Annual Southland Theater Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.) Returns to The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills!

Yes, kids! It's time once again for the annual all-star AIDS benefit known in these parts as STAGE (Southland Theater Artists Goodwill Event) to be held once again at the art deco jewel that is the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills (just a hop, skip and a blab away from Arnaz Drive!)

;)

This annual variety show is always chock-full of name stage, screen and television performers, many of whom are household names (Shirley Jones, Loretta Devine, Adrienne Barbeau, Bonnie Franklin and our own Carole Cook) some unknown to the masses but should be as their talent and support of this wonderful cause should be making them household names -- David Burnham and John Lloyd Young chief among them -- and there's always a star or two who pops up that you never dreamed could carry a tune, and more often than not, we're pleasantly surprised.

I try to attend a lot of "theater" throughout the year but I have to say this annual show is one of my favorite evenings each and every year because it's near "Broadway caliber", you get to see people perform live that you often don't, and those that you do love to see perform live but on rarer and rarer occasion, are showcased here and are obviously doing it not only for the love of performing but for helping a great cause. Highly recommended!

Talent includes:

Carole Cook, Shirley Jones, Patrick Cassidy, Bonnie Franklin, Adrienne Barbeau, Rex Smith, Loretta Devine, Sheryl Lee Ralph, David Burnham, John Lloyd Young, Anna Maria Alberghetti, Carol Lawrence, Nancy Dussault, and many, many more.
