Life with Lucy 1.15 "Lucy Meets the Romneys" aka "The Redhead Sees Red"

Staunch Republican Curtis is thrilled when contacted by the Romney campaign who's looking for a photo-op for their 'typical American' candidate's Pasadena shopping expedition to be accompanied by Romney-friendly 'reporters'. (A little less thrilled when he finds out one of the requirements for hardware-shopping-challenged Mitt is that all merchandise by arranged alphabetically.) But he's downright aghast when life-long liberal (and Re-Elect Obama Campaign Chairwoman, Pasadena chapter) Lucy sees this as her opportunity to corner Mitt with the basic hard hitting questions he's avoided to date. She tries to convince Curtis, she's switched parties and will behave (Curtis: "Well, at least she's not BLUE anymore"), but he discovers her plan and hires security to bar her from the premises. Rising to the challenge, Lucy kidnaps, then disguises herself as Mrs. Winkler, Pasadena's Tea Party chairwoman, while her friends from the local alternative press disguise themselves as Tea Party members to crash the event.

Mitt Romney: Hal March. Ann Romney: Ruta Lee. Paul Ryan: Butch Patrick. Mrs. Winkler: Barbara Morrison. Security Guards: Sid Gould, Irwin Charone. Herbie Walton: Steve March. Ann Coulter: Ruth Buzzi. Leonard/Rush Limbaugh: Donovan Scott in a dual role.

Production Note: After initially agreeing to portray themselves, Ryan and the Romneys drop out when they see the final script that has Mitt getting a pie in the face, Ann being doused with water, and Ryan being sprayed with fire extinguisher foam.

(I thought we had started one of these plot continuation threads for Life with...but couldn't find it.)

Very funny stuff! Sure, the plot jumping ahead 26 years is a little off, but it's a great idea anyways.
