Beverly Archer

SitcomsOnline reports the death of Beverly Archer. :obrien: Very sad news, especially considering Robbie's recent sighting of her. :(

It seems unusual that there is only one article about this, so I hope it turns out to be a false alarm, but so sad if true. 64 is so young.

Hopefully it is not true but Internet Movie Database has a date death of October 1st listed on Beverly's page. It is strange there appears to be no news articles on her passing, could find nothing on yahoo news or even searching through the library reference site Newsbank (for major newspapers) under both as "Beverly Archer" and "Beverly Bernard". It seems no obituary was published in California papers or in industry publications. There is some debate on the sitcomsonline message board for "Mama's Family" if the story is true.

Sure hope it's not true. Loved Beverly on "Mama's Family" so "retro" (yet spot on for 1980's small town) like someone who stepped out of a 50s or 60s sitcom in the days when tv was loaded with wonderful character players.

Beverly Archer is not dead. This appears to have been a internet prank and sitcomsonline will be posting an interview with her soon: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?p=4729846#post4729846, I'm starting a new thread in the "Not Dead" Lucy Lounge tradition so the members will know she is alive by just reading the headers.
