Lucyilove Posted December 14, 2012 Report Share Posted December 14, 2012 http://www.amazon.co...=carol channing Carol Channing has released a new album at age 91!! :HALKING: The Broadway legend's new CD (released a little over a month ago) is titled TRUE TO THE RED WHITE AND BLUE and features her singing such songs as "Yankee Doodle Dandy", "God Bless America", "America the Beautiful", "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree", "Over There", "St. Louis Blues", "His Eye is on The Sparrow", and others! Neil Posted May 21, 2013 Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 I bought it. GodBlessEr for still recording after all these years. Can't imagine who the purchasers would be (except people like me). Her voice was always unique but has acquired an odd, not unappealing tone. Her vibrato on sustained notes is soooo wavering. She sounds like a record played at a slow enough speed where their vibrato is only hovering around the note. If anyone had a reel-to-reel tape recorder, they know what I mean.
