Carole Cook spotted in WeHo

Recommended Posts

I follow HIddenLA on Facebook and they just posted this about Carole Cook.

Okay, so this post isn't showing local L.A. per se, but it is a glimpse into Classic Hollywood. And it features someone we want to do a personal shout-out to... Because this week we went to a caviar class at PETROSSIAN WEST HOLLYWOOD (if you like caviar and champagne, you should do this! Classes start at $35.) and were blessed to sit across the table from the insanely talented Carole Cook and her husband of fifty yearsTom Troupe. These seriously lovely people know how to party (and make "yummy" faces)! :)

As a second comment:

Most of you will remember Carole as the grandma who squeezed Molly Ringwald's "boobies."http://www.metacafe.com/watch/an-J8tFbm2b2h44Y/sixteen_candles_1984_meeting_with_grandparents_part_2/)

I'm glad she is doing great!

Thanks for this lovely mention of two really nice folks, who have been to Jamestown. I have a very beautiful photo (like Lucy & Desi cheek-to-cheek) I took while volunteering the year they were here; it's in its place of prominence on my 'frig'.... JK

NBC really missed the mark not casting these broads in The Sound of Music: Live! :marionstrong:

"Mariaaaa! We just got a nun named Mariaaaa..."

Great find!!  This is probably from one of the more recent annual S.T.A.G.E. benefits here in LA, which is for a great cause and gives the old broads like them a chance to shine -- and as is very obvious -- ham it up!  They're always a ton of fun and a chance to see folks like these who really don't get to perform like this very much, which is a pity.  (Can you tell they only get to rehearse once or twice??)  :lucywow:

In another "six degrees to ...." did you notice who their pianist is? None other than renowned musician Ron Abel, who's accompanied everyone from Miss Shirley "Busty Ingels" Jones to Flo Henderson and in a very fitting "Lucy" connection, our own Lucie Arnaz. :D :D :D
