How did they do the rice scene? Some sort of trick stove? chedderchester Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 I read in Ball of Fire, that they hired a real candy dipper and she was so deadpan and boring and probably didn't even know who Lucy was. Lucy really needed her to give a good slap and it turned out that she almost broke her nose. Later, the candy dipper looked at her with the same deadpan face and said "that's what you wanted, right?"
