Rhodes was suffering from lymphoma, and was 84. Rhodes appeared in one episode of THE LUCY SHOW ("Lucy & Carol Burnett Pt. 1") and five episodes of HERE'S LUCY ("Lucy the Matchmaker," "Lucy and the Gold Rush," "Lucy the Skydiver," "Lucy and the Raffle" and "Lucy's Tenant").
