Such great tidbits in your chronology, yes, the reason the real estate people were letting those cute little ranchitos go for so little was to sell them to the Hollywood crowd of major names to attract other buyers in the process. And as Desi said on a talk show, now they've gone from those beautiful four acre lots loaded with orange trees to everybody being on top of each other as they've been subdivided so many times.

I've added what follows, to TODAY's chronology:

The Post-Journal, Jamestown, NY - “Today's Thought - 'The great temptation is to have an alibi'. - George Abbott, American Theatrical Producer (1887-1995) - (Research: George, writer, producer and director, Too Many Girls, 1940, who some say introduced Lucille Ball to Desi Arnaz; Vivian Vance (Lucy’s Ethel Mertz) says he taught her more about comedy (1947) than anyone else had; Abbott’s father was Mayor of Salamanca, NY, Cattaraugus County, adjacent to Chautauqua County, the county of Lucille Ball’s birth - is born in Chautauqua County, Forestville, NY,),“ published this date in 2011.

Hi Leenorman -- I found an I Love Lucy reference in Woman's Day magazine, January 2011 issue, page 97 in an article called, "More Energy Now!" by Denise Austin. Sorry I didn't post it sooner but I am behind on my reading :)

"And throughout the day, look for opportunities to laugh more! Laughter produces a chemical reaction that instantly boosts mood and eases stress. When I need a laugh, I'll turn on the TV and look for reruns of I Love Lucy or Seinfeld."
