vivfantoo*
Hi Everyone, I receive a weekly email from shokusradio.com that lists upcoming shows, & wanted to let you know that there are three new interviews related to Madelyn airing between today & May 4th. Below are the dates & times of the shows. If you miss one, check the "Schedule-Detailed" on the site as they are repeated at different times for a week. There is also a great archive link at the bottom of the site with over a dozen Lucy related guest interviews that can be downloaded (but please remember to donate if you do). They are excellent. Here is the email from Shokus Internet Radio owner & Stu's Show host, Stu Stoshak: As many of you already know, "I Love Lucy" co-creator/writer Madelyn Davis passed away last week at the age of 90. I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Madelyn for nearly 30 years. She was a charming and classy lady, and although she was quite low key in her demeanor, she wrote some of the funniest and best loved comedy that this industry has ever produced. Ed Robertson's "TV Confidential" will be devoting a good portion of its first hour this coming week (beginning Monday, April 25) to Madelyn's career, and yours truly was asked to offer my own commentary and memories. I will be Ed's first guest this week, and I'll be discussing Madelyn's long association with Lucille Ball, including an in-depth look at the failure of "Life With Lucy", the only part of the collaboration between Lucy, Bob Carroll, and Madelyn that didn't "click". "TV Confidential" airs right after "Stu's Show" all this week at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. Ronnie Paul, who formerly hosted "Flying Home" on the station, has a live, weekly TV program in Fresno, CA that streams on the Internet. On Saturday, April 30, Ronnie has asked me to be his guest for the evening to also talk about Madelyn's life and career. You can watch this program by going to http://www.cocolatv.com/ beginning at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. The live edition of "Stu's Show" on Wednesday, May 4 will feature author Michael Stern ("I Had a Ball: My Friendship with Lucille Ball") and Lucy's former personal secretary, Wanda Clark. We will dedicate that program to Madelyn, in her honor.
