MONALISAISMONALUCY
It seems that when Lucille Carmichael went to live in Los Angeles, she started encountering gorillas in some episodes in the 4th. to 6th seasons. There was even one episode when she was living in "Danfield" but that was in a nightmare. I thought it would be nice to honor the best and worse of these episodes. MONALISAISMONALUCY
What episode was that where she had a dream about "Danfield?" I thought that there was one in "Lucy And The Monsters" but I could have gotten that mixed up with the giant squid.
MONALISAISMONALUCY
I love the title of this thread! Is there a BEST?! I thought the gorilla worked well in the episode "Lucy And Art Linkletter." It was part of four incidents that were happening at once which made it hilarious. Gee I've lived here over nine years now and have never spotted one gorilla yet! Maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong neighborhoods??
MONALISAISMONALUCY
Gee I've lived here over nine years now and have never spotted one gorilla yet! Maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong neighborhoods?? I have lived here over 30 years and I haven't seen any also. If I have been given the opportunity to see the taping of "The Lucy Show" or "Here's Lucy", I might have encountered at least one. My parents weren't interested enough to take us kids to television shows.

C L A U D E
Weren't there any best ones to brag about ? Worst might be better, how about the one that appeared in the Jack Benny's vault episode? Ruined the whole thin for me. Of course quicksand didn't make much sense either, but at least that was funny. C L A U D E
Mooney The Monkey was definitely the best. Always find it funny! And Drafted was the all time best episode ever for me. It would only have been better if there had been a monkey in it.

C L A U D E
Los Angeles must've had a gorilla outbreak in the 60s! Wonder if this obsession with gorillas had to do with Lucy working at and then later buying RKO, the makers of the original KING KONG.
MONALISAISMONALUCY
I am going to repeat myself from last year's reply: Lucy and Art Linkletter - This one of my favorite episodes of the 4th. season that has a gorilla thrown in. Of course Doris Singleton's is the real reason why I like this episode. She played Lucy's thorn in her side.

It had more to do with the new writers on "The Lucy Show". There were more gorillas and Irvings!!! What episode or episodes of I Love Lucy should have had a gorilla? "Lucy Is Envious"? Kleptomaniac, she could have brought out a gorilla instead of an elephant, would have made more sense coming up the stairs, especially with a man in it, LOL!
