What episodes are you watching on "The Lucy Show"?

Last night I felt compelled to watch "Lucy & Bob Crane" and "Lucy & Clint Walker".

My first instinct responses would be "whatever for?" and "well of course!"...but can you guess which remark would go with which (ep)? ;)

Ooh, I have a remark for this but it might be best if I hide it under a Cuban bushel. :marionstrong:

Watched all the eps with the gloriously fantastic Ann Sothern, who should have become a regular, these eps are all exquisite!

I agree. Ann's character would have been a great partner-in-crime for Lucy in those later years. Not to mention that her character would have provided the show some storylines.

Also kinda makes you wonder why they never had her on once in all six years of Here's Lucy! :lucyhorror:

Yes, i always wonder why Bea or Betty weren't on either and Doris Roberts and other greats who never got to work with her on her series, Betty being the most obvious of course.

Well, it was probably just that during the years HL ran, Betty wasn't really doing "parts" so much as appearing on all the hit game shows, until she appeared on TMTMS and that wasn't until 1973, which was MTM's 4th season and Lucy's last; Bea was busy with Maude during most of HL's run and they probably hadn't heard of her before that. As for Doris, she didn't really come into the consciousness of TV viewers until ABC's Angie in 1979. :D

But Doris was a HIT on Remington Steele, when was that on? Besides, Doris was a great character actress and Lucy loved that type of performer the most. Wasn't she in the Nat'l Lampoon Christmas Vacation movie also?

RIght but the subject was why weren't these fabulous character actresses on HL, especially those she counted as friends. :D

Steele ran long after HL: 1982 - 87; National Lampoon: 1989. :lucythrill:

Well, at least she got to work with Betty on quiz shows and Bea on that CBS special.

Last night I Mrs. Carmichael locked Mr. Mooney and me in the bank vault. When we were finally out, Mr. Mooney didn't quite make it so we had to hunt down the can opener's can opener and plug Grandma's Dandy Candy.

:viv2: YOO HOO! SHERMAN! Look, I'm on television! :HALKING:

Maude didn't start until 1972, and Bea wasn't even known before that. Lucy and Bea didn't become friends until they starred together in Mame. I always wondered why Betty didn't appear on TLS or HL, but I guess thats right, that she didn't return to acting until 1973. When did Lucy and Betty become such good friends?
