leenorman Posted March 9, 2012 Report Share Posted March 9, 2012 Will be adding the following to the chronology for this date, 3/9/12: The Post-Journal, Jamestown NY - Gardell to Headline Comedy Festival - Paula Poundstone Will Highlight August 2 Show - "Comedian Billy Gardell, star of Mike and Molly will headline this year's Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, taking place August 1-5, 2012. Gardell, originally from Pittsburgh PA, 3 hours driving time from Jamestown, is seen by more than 12 million Mike and Molly viewers each week, and appeared in his own hour-long Comedy Central Special, 2011, will be performing August 4. According to an economic impact study, 13,000 put $3.6 million into the local economy during the 2011 five-day festival. Returning after contributing to the 2011 success, Paula Poundstone, one of Comedy Central's 100 greatest comedians of all time and panelist on NPR's Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, will headline the August 2 performance. Lucie Arnaz, Lucille and Desi's daughter, will be in town to witness the center's new Legacy of Laughter direction, one pillar of which is comedic arts education.
