Mrs. Irma Mooney - The Facts

Recommended Posts

As the early prototype for Maris Crane on "Frasier", Irma Mooney was an outrageously described, never seen character. Let's cull a list of all known facts about her that Mooney lets slip over the years.

1) She's so bowlegged that were she straightened out she'd be 7 feet tall.

2) She's bald.

3) She's the niece of Mooney's first boss.

4) She likes ceramic cats

5) She's a dog lover

6) Bore Mooney 4 children (1 girl, 3 boys)

That's all I can recall offhand. Anyone else?

I know a lot of people take Ted as a renamed and recast version of Bob, but I don't. Even the production notes say Mooney has 3 sons. Plus he clearly mentions his daughter in the 2nd Merman episode. So Mooney has 4 kids we don't see a lot of.

They and the Carmichael kids (and Sherman) went on a road trip with Chuck Cunningham and got lost :marionstrong:

Involved in karate lessons. Can't remember if she was giving or taking.

THREE boys? Are we counting Michael J. and Richard Applegate as two separate sons?

She takes karate lessons, but she is a wrestler.

Irma is 6 foot, three inches and 250 pounds.

She also likes rummage sales, but no one will take her.

Irma's husband always gives her luggage for gifts, but she hasn't taken the hint.
