Hamilton played Flip Wilson's no-nonsense secretary in Lucy & Flip Go Legit:

The Star Trek world has had to say good-bye to Kim Hamilton, who impressed audiences with her portrayal of Chairman Songi in the 1990 "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Final Mission." She died Sept. 16 at age 68.

Hamilton's death was announced by the blogger Old Lady of the Hills in Los Angeles. A cause of death was not released.

"No one will ever know how good she was and what a big loving heart she had, or how devoted she was to those she held close, and how incredibly talented she was, too," the blogger said. "An actress of infinite versatility, and as beautiful inside as she was outside."

She was way older than 68 - I mean really, her first (possibly second!)  marriage was in 1951 and her career started in the late 1950's.  You can see her in things like TWILIGHT ZONE and LEAVE IT TO BEAVER and she's no teenager. She was actually born in 1932, making her 81. http://www.tvrage.com/person/id-7521/Kim+Hamilton

I had forgotten she was the original Helen Willis when the Jeffersons were still on ALL IN THE FAMILY; wonder why she didn't get the role when the show was spun off.

I have to say I never liked her Here's Lucy character, very sharp and condescending toward Lucy Carter, what was the director thinking, only Gale Gordon could get away with that!

She had a great career though, active for over 50 years.  RIP Kim.

Well. 81 makes lots more sense.  And i agree about her being too sharp against Lucy Carter.
