UKlucyfan
So here's a question. . When did Lucy get the title. I always assumed it was from the show however I had on a radio play today from 1947 and she was introduced as a "comedian" and "Queen of comedy" si when and how did she get that title of not from the Lucy show? HarryCarter
Lucy was named "Queen of Comedy" for the year 1946 by the Associated Drama Guilds of America. Danny Kaye was king that year.
C L A U D E
I'd be curious to hear when she was starting to be called First Lady of Television, late in her career I assume.

The title was bestowed on her based on her performance in Easy to Wed.
Luvsbway
Well that role was worth winning something. She was fantastic in it and MGM was stupid for not giving her more roles like this.
C L A U D E
All the studios were stupid for never recognizing the incredible talent that eventually made her the Queen of Television.
