Brock
In the new Kids book "I Am Lucille Ball" which was released the other day, the author cites a number of resources: Desilu, Too Love, Lucy The revised edition of Elisabeth Edwards' 50th anniversary book Ball of Fire "I Call on Lucy & Desi" (Saturday Evening Post, 1958) ... and the unpublished manuscript "Lucy -- and I" by Gladys Hall and a letter from Lucy to the same author. From Googling, I gather Hall was a prolific author for movie magazines, but does anyone know what is in this manuscript or the letter? From reading the book, there doesn't seem to be anything in particular that wouldn't have been found in any of the other books or articles... but this has piqued my interest! According to the book, the manuscript is in the AMPAS archives.
Neil
And in 1912, Gladys Hall married Robert..... ..................................................................... .............(drumroll)............................................ ........................................................................ .......................................................................... .............................................BALL!! ...........in Centavo City... Ok, I made up the Centavo City, but besides the Titanic sinking and waiting for the births of Reta Shaw, Eve Arden and Joan Davis and Ethel Merman (the last three may have already been born and hiding out until 1912), what else was there to do but go to New Mexico and watch "Wildcat" Jackson in action? HarryCarter
Gladys Hall Ball? I'll always thankful Desi came along and prevented Lucy from becoming Lucille Ball Hall.

Oddly, Lucille has a real relative named Robert Ball; who lived in Celoron area many years; wonder if it's the same Bob Ball!!!! Anyone - Harry?
