HarryCarter Posted November 19, 2015 Report Share Posted November 19, 2015 HBO premiered a new documentary this week "The Latin Explosion" about the rise of Latino entertainers in the United States. Desi is the first person spotlighted and they credit him for being the first mainstream Latin American performer. It's not a very long segment, but they show a montage of Desi singing Babalu in the Desi Arnaz and His Orchestra short, The Ricardos Visit Cuba, and The Toast of the Town as well as Desi's speech from The Toast of the Town.
