Brock
Great news courtesy of Tom Watson! " Banish the tax-time blues this spring with a visit from Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel! Yes, CBS will broadcast an I LOVE LUCY ‘FUNNY MONEY’ SPECIAL, Friday, April 19, at 8PM (ET/PT), showcasing two newly colorized episodes of the classic series. Included will be “The Million Dollar Idea” – in which Lucy and Ethel try to market Lucy’s salad dressing – and “Bonus Bucks” – which finds the Ricardos and Mertzes hoping to win big in a newspaper Bonus Bucks contest. Classic fun for the whole family! My thanks once again to CBS for allowing me to participate in the preparation of these colorful specials. It's wonderful to see the Ricardos and the Mertzes back on network television entertaining millions!

Luvsbway
Two really great picks. Most of the action in these really is more of the domestic sense, but with Bonus Bucks you get that fabulous physical comedy and the site gag payoff at the end. Mot Morenzi
What an interesting theme, and nice to see some more non-Hollywood selections.

nertz2mertz
I wonder if they are going to go with the same blue gray color scheme in these episodes being that the grays were a bit different. The kitchen was also a bit different if I'm not mistaken.
JoeySanJoaquin
Not two of my faves but good choices for the masses. I am ready for a country episode though, or better still as I think someone else earlier suggested, a "double bill" of two of the best hour-longs. My vote would be for "Celebrity (Tallulah)" and "Danny Thomas".
Mot Morenzi
Seeing the country house would be nice. "I Love Lucy: Chicken Capers Special"
nertz2mertz
This reminds me of when they came out on VHS and they all had themes. They should continue that with these specials.

By the time they got to the end to get all 180 out, the "themes" got to be pretty ridiculous!

Don't worry, by the time they all get colorized we'll be dead as a door nail.

Mot Morenzi
Maybe they could celebrate Florida's importance to the election next year with the "I Love Lucy: Florida Frenzy" special, featuring the Florida set episodes. 2

Kinda hoping we get some country/Connecticut based eps first -- itching to see the house in "color"! -- maybe along the lines of "Lucy, Wild in Westport"...or " Crazy in Connecticut" ...or "Silly in the Suburbs".... Not that it's a bad idea, per se, but I'd like to see some Connecticut episodes as well.
HarryCarter
Interesting article on the colorization process. https://www.tvinsider.com/765643/i-love-lucy-funny-money-special-cbs-colorized/?fbclid=IwAR0yD9HDnYE9QMjoNU0Wrx9NZBngmy-8HXiwjITzCF52lByDRhZOJpslc3E I think Lucy’s colorization looks the most natural in this special so far. HarryCarter
The Million Dollar Idea seemed to be the least edited episode I can remember. I think they only cut Dickie Davis’ commercial, Lucy and Ethel talking about buying mink coats, and Lucy counting the jars in the living room.

Lucille Ball fan
Another great color special. Nice clear color. My thanks to the I Love Lucy color crew. Another color job well done. And great news that we will get more color shows on dvd this fall!!

They edited out Lucy devouring the mini cakes by a few bites.
