mikidiki
News to me and I hope your sources are accurate because it's a pretty drastic thing to say without being 100% sure.
Brock
It is true, unfortunately. Thankfully she seems to be in very good spirits and that is a good part of the battle.

leenorman
Oh no! Has anyone else heard that Amy Arnaz has a brain tumor? I had been 'slipped the information' - fairly reliable source; all I know right now.... it's such a tragedy.
HarryCarter
Amy has written about this on her website: http://www.themagictutu.typepad.com/ Amy, if you read this, know that you are in all our thoughts and prayers! Feel better soon!
Taylor
Guess that answers my question about whether it's cancer or not. My friend's mom had a brain tumor that was cancerous and she had to do the whole chemo pill thing. It's been 3 years and she's in remission, so just because it's cancer doesn't mean a death sentence. I hope Mrs. Arnaz gets well soon!
Brock
Amy, if you read this, know that you are in all our thoughts and prayers! Feel better soon! Seconded! She is such a nice, lovely woman and has been remarkably upbeat and positive throughout this whole thing. That is the true mark of a person. vivfantoo*
What sad news. I will pray for a full recovery for her, & for God's peace & comfort to surround her & her family. Like Taylor, I know someone who had brain tumor over a dozen years ago & she is as healthy today as if it never happened. I'm hoping for Amy that because the mass is on top (& not deep within the brain) that it will be easier to treat since it is more accessable. AmyArnaz
Hello Friends, Yes, it's TRUE. I do have a brain tumor and am sick about it -- altho it is shrinking after 30 rounds of radiation and chemo pills. I had a knee replacement in January, and 2 days later (still in hospital) I had a seizure. First seizure ever. Didn't even know I was seizing. Thank God Desi was standing next to me and noticed I was trembling and couldn't talk. He called the nurse who wheeled me downstairs for an MRI which revealed a tumor right on top of my head by the hairline. The next week I went into surgery again for a biopsy of the tumor. At first doctor said it was benign and all was OK. Doctor sent the sample to a cancer center in SF that said it was malignant and fast growing. We went from "no worries" to shock in 2 seconds. Doctor actually said I had 6 months to live unless I did radiation + chemo. So that diagnosis is why I'm now bald, puffy from steroids and tired. However! I'm alive and that means more to me than being bald. I'm finally going to get a wig this coming Tuesday. Yeah! Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers. Desi has been the very best caregiver to me, altho it's hard for him at times. Don't know what I'd do without him. My girlfriends have kept us well-fed with delicious dinners/salads but when the girls don't deliver food, Desi cooks a perfect dinner. You may not know he's a superb cook? This is probably long enough. I'll check back in a day or two to see if anyone has another question. I appreciate and love you. xoxo Amy

You are such a doll, our messages back and forth proved to me the type of individual you are, may you get through all this as quickly as possible and you are so strong and smart that i'm sure you will beat this thing. Glad to hear Desi jr is there for you, but i'm not surprised, that's the type of people you two are. Thoughts and prayers are definitely with you at this very difficult time. Love always, Claude. leenorman
We each, in our own way, are suffering for you; if you can feel the love from the Lounge, here, come on back and chat. Until then, rest and mind your doctors. Stay strong; we KNOW you will....Fondly, JK
vivfantoo*
Hi Amy, thanks for giving us an update. I'm glad to read that the tumor is shrinking with treatment, but so sorry that you have to deal with all the side effects. Continuing to pray for your complete return to health. Will
Thanks for the update. It is great that you have such a great husband and girlfriends that are lovely supporting you. I know your strong faith in God will help you through this. You are an inspiration to all of us to stand by our friends or family members that have cancer and give them all we got. I just lost my friend to lung cancer 3 days ago so I know how shocking it is but how faith can pull you through it.

I have a cousin losing her best friend to cancer in a few days, and another first cousin taking chemo to try and stop a tumor from growing, but she's older at least, the first one is way too young to go from this scourge. Annaleigh
Thank you for the update, Amy! We all were worried here. I'm glad you have a great supportful team at home and also all over the world! Also are you continuing with the chemo and radiation? I hope the storm will be done soon! AmyArnaz
Happy Friday Morning Friends-- Gosh! Thank you for the love & support I just read. Much appreciated. Desi took me to the clinic yesterday for an infusion and whilst I was infusing he went out for lunch with his childhood friend, Billy Hinsche. It has been extremely HOT here in So. NV and the Filipino restaurant they went to had no AC! Just a big fan that didn't cool the restaurant off. Desi was hot but Billy wasn't -- claiming "these are my people. We like fans." Here's a photo Billy posted on FB yesterday. I don't have much of a health update except that my doctor said I'm improving but it's going to take more time. Darn it! I'm ready to have my life back... xoxo Amy
