JoeySanJoaquin
Oh my, what typical HOLLYWOOD names, Season and Candy, sheesh! Wasn't Jeff Bridges gorgeous when younger, Desi jr sure aged better than Jeff did. Really?? You don't find him attractive as an older man? Hmm.... Sure you're not thinking of brother Beau?? BTW, I think the video release of Bridges' excellent version of True Grit is out soon (if not today). Saw it in the theatre and can't recommend it highly enough. JoeyBob says check it out!!! I worship the ground Jeff Bridges walks on, brilliant actor, and yes, he looks dignified in a Cary Grant way but some other times, like in Big Lebowski or other roles, it's like they go out of their way to UGLIFY him, and he was so gorgeous as a young man that it's hard to find him as sexy as Rooster Cogburn. But maybe Jeff knew you just don't get respect as a pretty boy, you have to go the ugly and old route to get the respect in that town. Brock
New one LOL I agree with you, wouldn't waste a minute watching a damned boring western. Your loss. It's one of the best movies of 2010.
JoeySanJoaquin
LOL Your loss. It's one of the best movies of 2010. I agree. Westerns aren't usually a fave genre but when well done, as this is, make for fine films. IMHO.
C L A U D E
I agree. Westerns aren't usually a fave genre but when well done, as this is, make for fine films. IMHO. I was bored to death by Unforgiven, i have no intention of repeating the process with True Grit, i hated the Wayne version but still watched anything back then, nowadays i don't have the time to watch things i am not interested in at all. Westerns in films should disapear the way variety shows disapeared from TV. I think i just lost my own argunment with that last line. mikidiki
The ONLY western that I LOVE and have on DVD is "No Country For Old Men". But I don't really even class that as a Western, I class that as an thriller in the desert LOL!

Definitely a world class thriller of a drama.
