JoeySanJoaquin
That would be why she looked a lot older than those other Mame photos. Well...but it is a candid/not retouched, that makes a difference too!
C L A U D E
I'm not sure who the woman is with Lucy and Robert Preston, but I do know that the photo was from the Thalians tribute to Preston in 1984. Lucy recreated the title number from Mame. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, that was extremely nice of Lucy to do. But notice the picture is reversed again, hence the L W O B sign for BOWL. Unless the prop man was dyslexic.
Luvsbway
Pilot. The set isn't even done yet.
C L A U D E
Pilot. The set isn't even done yet. Man, the décor sure was cheap looking in the beginning of the series.
Luvsbway
In the pilot I was afraid the wall would could down. You can see things steadily improve over the first season, but yes pretty bare in set and in wardrobe.
C L A U D E
the wall would could down. You're talking more like Ricky/Desi every day. LOL! Maybe you should stop watching the show for a while, LOL!

Lucy recreated the title number from Mame. Why can't this be on DVD as an extra like Lucy's tribute is. I would love to see Lucy recreate this role. It is definetly ten years later in 1984 this picture because I can see Lucy's age more. In the 80's candid pictures reveal more wrinkles in her face. Annaleigh
The two beds in there make it a bedroom instead of a living room. Hell, that room was everything. Bedroom, living room, and french room! I've never seen a set like that before. But the script was wonderful!

Annaleigh
Skimpy budget I guess. I would say, seemed like it was made with pure paper! But it won us the greatest TV show of all time!

Well, pilots are always like that, cheaply done, at least the rest of the series wasn't that way.

Oh we have loads of that type around here, houses or farms that are hundreds of years old, I dun't thin I could live in a house without all the modern amenities of today though. I love those kind of houses. I love the mix of retro and then of course the modern amenities. I'm not about farms though. I'm all about the suburbs with a nice size yard. But the beauty of those houses are outstanding.

The charming look of the Chatsworth ranch, that magnificent mansion in Beverly Hills that had everything. Even her first house on Ogden Drive looked great. Brock
Speaking of homes, I wish we could get some interior shots of the far superior house on the opposite side of Roxbury. lol
C L A U D E
Ah, have we swayed you to like the ranch? Well, YOU helped with the shots of that driveway and others. Never looked like more than a shack out in the boonies until you supplied 100 shots of inside and out.
C L A U D E
Speaking of homes, I wish we could get some interior shots of the far superior house on the opposite side of Roxbury. lol Back then, they were pretty much equal, now, it IS the better one, yes. Did we ever find out who lived there? Used to think it was Diane Keaton till I actually saw a shot of her little hacienda.
