C L A U D E
That first dress, with Milton, is that the outfit she sat down in on that newly painted chair with Tallulah dahlink?
Luvsbway
I think it is. I think it dates to the Forever Darling press tour.
C L A U D E
I'm surprised you don't know where she bought it and how much she paid, LOL! It's very "fifties", isn't it?
Luvsbway
It has that full skirt 50s look. I bet it was made for her and it has a matching hat.
C L A U D E
And her purse probably matched her shoes too, and let's not forget the gloves, LOL!
C L A U D E
You had one shot, I forget where, with Lucy having a low cut outfit and she's wearing a brooch, I think a flower there. They used to put those on Zsa Zsa and Eva and others whenever they did talk shows and showed too much bosom.
JoeySanJoaquin
You had one shot, I forget where, with Lucy having a low cut outfit and she's wearing a brooch, I think a flower there. They used to put those on Zsa Zsa and Eva and others whenever they did talk shows and showed too much bosom. Nowadays they'd let the boobies hang out all over the place and stuff the flower between their "cheeks" to hide their ass cracks!
C L A U D E
I know, a recent outing by Nene Leaks on Ellen was a perfect example. Hope she used some two sided tape on her boobie covers.

FreddieMertz
Whenever you see shots of sets with the lights visible, for some reason it makes the stuff below it seem a lot smaller.
Luvsbway
I love these type of shots because it gives you a new take on the scene. A chance to see an angel we never saw before. I do agree on it being small. The carpet line always seemed to never extend too far. It seems rather cozy but amazing how much magic you can create in such an intimate space.

C L A U D E
As I watched the Golf one today of ILL, I am amazed as I see those backdrops making you think you're ON an actual course instead of a tiny little set in a studio, amazing what they did with those,
Luvsbway
I assume they hung a net or something for the golf balls but I always get nervous wondering where they landed.

C L A U D E
Oh I wish the HOPE one was in color, Lucy looked so gorgeous in BLUE. Have never seen that odd shot of Lucy with Phil Silvers. And love the one with Jane Pauley (it's MY story and I'm gonna tell it), LOL! This is the thread I wanted to post in this afternoon. Was watching an ILL Lucy ep or two where you can clearly see all the markings on the floor for them to know where to stand, then I watched several Here's Lucys, the one staying at Jack Benny's in Palm Springs and before they leave as Lucie and Lucy do some cheerleading, my God, the floor is just covered with all their marks in grey tape, you'd think the director would notice something like that ending up being photographed for the show! Luvsbway
I don't think they were noticeable on TVs back in the day. With all the clearity and huge screens I've noticed them frequently across all series. The Phil Silvers one is from her cameo. I have never actually seen it though. C L A U D E
I have it and it's no big deal. They all wanted Lucy on their shows but because it was the incredible LUCY, they never bothered giving her decent material, they knew people would tune in just to see HER! In whatever she did. If they'd had best guest actor or actress in HER day, she'd have twenty more Emmys. Now that they have Best Nails, Best make up and best use of a whoopee cushion, she'd beat that dreyfuss woman for sure.

C L A U D E
I was wondering how the heck you'd tie in Lauren to Lucy, you succeeded very well, as usual, had forgotten about her being Wayne's co star in that one.
Luvsbway
Lucy got her outfit from the Elaine Stritch collection. I believe this is the suit worn in the hair and makeup tests.
